Every now and then Hastings hosts an authentic market from France with genuine French produce just as you would get if you were in Normady

The town centre, mostly pedestrianised and known to older locals as "The Memorial" after the 1862 Memorial to Albert the Good demolished in 1973.

The Memorial  also marks the eastern end of the America Ground which was of course celebrating the fourth of July!!
